Mitch Westbrook

Mitchell "Mitch" Westbrook, 64, passed away Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at a local hospital. He was a lifelong resident of North Georgia where he was a 1968 graduate of Rossville High School. He received an associates degree from Walker Tech and had worked for Combustion Engineering, Farm Bureau, and Gary Thacker Insurance. Mitch had a Charismatic and Infectious personality and will be dearly missed. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, four wheeling, and working in his yard. He was preceded in death by his father, Marcus A. Westbrook Sr.; brother, Mark Westbrook; and stepfather, Lyle Graham. Survivors include his children, Matthew (Carrie) Westbrook, of Ringgold, Tyler (Tiffanie) Westbrook, of Canton, Ga., and Katelyn Westbrook, of Chattanooga; mother, Sybil Graham, of Rossville; five grandchildren Jaxon, Simon, Max, Nina and Campbell Westbrook; and several nieces and nephews. Interment will follow in the Dunagan Cemetery in Rocky Face, Ga. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. Wednesday until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
