Joe Barnes

Joseph Phillip Barnes, 75, departed this life Friday, Aug. 15, 2014. He was born in Chattanooga, to the late Charles and Laura Barnes. Joe served in the U.S. Army and later owned-operated Joe Barnes Electric. Survivors include his loving wife of 50 years, Anna Marie Barnes of Rossville; children, Donna (Bill) Robinson of Chickamauga, Laura (Mike) Wiender of Rossville, Joey (Dawn) Barnes of Fort Oglethorpe, Jason (Julia) Barnes of East Ridge; siblings, Richard Barnes of Rossville, Virginia Miller of Atlanta; grandchildren, Joey, Ashley, Ariel, Shannon, Amber; great-grandchildren, Kyah, Deakin, Keylan, Eli, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, in the chapel with Brother Mack Stephens officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Monday and prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Homes, Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.
