Kathryn Stone

Mary Kathryn Stewart Stone, 85, of Red Bank, died Friday, Aug. 15, 2014. She was born Jan. 19, 1929, in Chattanooga to the late Jesse Hampton Stewart and Ruby Catherine Kerley Stewart. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tracy Eugene Stone, and her brother, Jesse Edward Stewart. She was a charter member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church and was employed by Lovemans, Proffitt's and Belk for many years. Survivors: daughters, Phyllis (Robert) Dodd and Melissa (Mike) Donnelly; granddaughter, Shannon Dodd Willbanks; a grandson, Alex Tracy Stone-Donnelly; great-granddaughter, Koren, and great-grandson, Tucker; sister-in-law, Marilyn Stewart; daughter by choice, Trudy Dobson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 19, at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace, with Joseph Pierce officiating.
