Ronnie Williams

Ronnie Williams, 68, of Hixson, passed away Friday, Aug. 15, 2014. A native of Chesterfield, S.C., he had lived here since 1964. He was retired from Norfolk Southern after 36 years of distinguished service. Ronnie served in the Army Reserve and was a member of the American Legion. Ronnie was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church, Ely Road and was an avid Dodgers and Braves fan. He was a much-loved father, grandfather, husband and a devoted friend. He will be forever in our hearts. He was preceded in death by his parents, S.E. and Odessa Williams; three brothers and two sisters. Survivors are his loving wife of 47 years, Barbara; three daughters, Lyn Williams Robertson, Shannon Williams Perkins and Alyson Williams; brother, Billy (Sue) Williams; sister-in-law, Jean Williams; five grandchildren, Trey, Will and Sam Robertson, Chloe Rack and Drew Perkins; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Pastor Pat Baze officiating. Burial is in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
