Sonny Stout

James Keith "Sonny" Stout Sr., 86, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Friday, Aug. 15, 2014. A native of Kentucky, he lived in Soddy-Daisy most of his life and was a member of Oak Street Baptist Church. Sonny served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II. He retired from Chris-Craft Boat Company. Sonny was a dedicated family man. He was preceded in death by his parents, Haywood and Sally Stout; and siblings, Haywood Stout Jr. and Jean Keesee. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Ruby Stout; son, James Keith "Jim" (Doris) Stout Jr. ; daughters, Sharon Christy, LeAnn Stout and Terri (Dan) Ferry; sisters, Mary Lou (Bobby) Wilson and Ruth Varner; grandchildren, Tyler Stout, Alicia (Brad) Kinsey, Andrew Stout, Austin Stout, Garrett (Carah) Ferry, Maia (Justin) Aultman and Raven Christy; great-grandchildren, Ayla Aultman and Jackson Kinsey; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Dr. David Haynes officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
