Sarah Frost

Sarah Alice Frost, of Hixson, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014. She was 82 years old. Sarah was born and raised in Keener, Ala., and has been a longtime resident of the Chattanooga area. She was a member of Middle Cross Baptist Church and a former member of Hixson United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and loved gospel music. Sarah will always be remembered by being a devoted wife, mother, nannie who loved the Lord. She was an avid Alabama football fan, and loved watching her grandchildren, participate in sports activities. She was preceded in death by her parents, E.L. and Hattie Sizemore; sister, Anne Sizemore; and brother, Harry Sizemore. Sarah is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jessie "Jack" Ralph Frost; daughter, Sally (Rob) Robinson; son, Jimmy (Donna) Frost; three grandchildren, Stacy (Camp) Holder, Becky (Garrett) Meers and Allyson Norquest; two great-granddaughters, Olyvia and Ashton Meers; two great-grandsons, Braxton Holder and Aidan Norquest; and other relatives and special friends. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The family and friends will gather at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 3, at the North Chapel to celebrate her life and rejoice that she is now walking with Jesus. Her pastor Rev. Ed Gravett from Middle Cross Baptist Church will be officiating. Burial will follow at National Cemetery.
