James Evans

James Evans James "Bobby" Robert Evans, 62, of Chattanooga went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014. Bobby graduated from McMinn County High School and continued studies at Cleveland State and Chattanooga State Community Colleges. He attended East Ridge United Methodist Church. Bobby was a successful salesman at Sears before he became ill. Bobby enjoyed working with computers, electronics, and all types of music and movies as well as playing guitar with his wife Sarah. He also loved spending time with his dog Sugar. Bobby was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Ida Ruth Marler and Eldah Evans and father, Dudley Evans, and stepfather Abe Gussow. He is survived by his wife and lifetime partner, Sarah Foster; mother, Mildred Gussow, sisters, Patty (Gary) Humphries, Emma Jo McKenzie, Julie OConnell, and Sarah Gussow; brother-in-law, Al (Lynn) Foster Jr.; sisters-in-law, Christine Smelser and Jacqueline Doty; special friend Marvin Day and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to add a special thanks to Pastor Ken Sauer and all of his friends at East Ridge United Methodist Church as well as the nurses at Memorial Hospital and Hospice so he could come home.
