Linda Rhodes

Linda Chastain Rhodes, 73, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away on Thursday afternoon, Feb. 6, 2014, in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 24, 1940 in Springville, Tenn., a daughter of the late Elmer Chastain and Wymoth Lee Studdard. She was of the Seventh-day Adventist faith and a member of Bowman Hills Seventh-day Adventist Church. Linda was a homemaker until after the passing of her husband then she later became a CNA in the Home Health Care industry. She loved her family especially spending time with them during their weekly "Monday Night Game Nights". Linda will always be remembered for her beautifully handmade Christmas ornaments. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Harry Lee Rhodes and one brother Dr. Chalmer Chastain Jr.. Linda leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters Rhonda Black and her husband Bryan, Kari Wilson and her husband Lamar, one son Lee Rhodes, step mother Bettie Chastain, one granddaughter Megan Leigh Black, two half sisters Renee Chastain and Dawn Edgeman, a special aunt who like a sister to her Freda Price and her husband Fred, one uncle Andrew Chastain and wife Shirley of Collegedale, TN, numerous other extended family members, church family and a host of special friends. A graveside service is planned for Monday, February 10, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Mike Pettingil officiating. The family will receive friends today, Feb. 9, 2014 from 4 until 6 p.m. in the parlor of Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown Road in Cleveland, Tenn.
