Mary Blancett

Mary Paschal Blancett, 80, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014. Mary was the daughter of the late Robert and Alberta Paschal. She was born in Scottsboro, Ala., and moved to Chattanooga, and worked until her retirement with DuPont. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bill Paschal and Talley Paschal; son, Larry Blancett. Mary is survived by her son, Darrell Blancett; daughter, Jeannine Lee; brothers, R.L. Paschal and Dewey Paschal; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A graveside service for Mary will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Brother Al Goss officiating. A private family gathering will follow the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
