Mary Ruth Smith, 92, formerly of Chattanooga, passed away Feb. 3, 2014, at her home in Largo, Fla. Born in Thorn City (Birchwood), Tenn. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 10, in the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Pastor Joey Harris officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Tom Riddle, T.J. Riddle, Matthew Eller, Billy Welsh, Steve Norris and Don Wyrick serving as pallbearers.
