Brenda Lackey

Brenda Lackey, 68, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014. Brenda was born in Chattanooga on March 9, 1945 to William B. "Chic" Lackey and Jeanne Cooper. Brenda was one of the original students of Orange Grove Center when it opened in 1953 and continued to attend. She loved animals especially cats and dogs and collected stuffed animals and dolls. Brenda loved to travel and dine out. She was a very social woman who enjoyed gatherings of friends and family. Her loving gentle spirit and smiling face were enjoyed by many and will be missed. She was preceded in death by her mother, Jeanne L. McGee and stepfather, James I. McGee Jr. Survivors include her sister, Connie Fisher, whom she called "Sister". A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at Soddy-Daisy Presbyterian Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Following the graveside service friends and family are invited to the home of Connie Fisher. Arrangements are by Hamilton Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 4506 Hixson Pike, Hixson 531-3975.
