Mary Blevins

Mary Katherine Peoples Blevins, 86, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church and a former employee of South Pittsburg Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lonnie and Amanda Durham Peoples; grandson, Jared Blevins, brother, Milton Peoples; and sisters, Geraldine Young and Alene Gothard. Mary Katherine is survived by her husband, George X. Blevins; son, George Milton (Geraldine) Blevins; daughters, Freda (Dan) Brooks, and Yvonne (Otmer) Horn; sisters, Melba Jean Rorex, Betty Marshall and Henrietta Cruise; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. CST today, Feb. 12, 2014, with funeral services to follow in the funeral home chapel, Brother Otmer Horn officiating. Interment will be at 10 a.m. CST Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Bible Baptist Youth.
