Earlean Hurst

Earlean Cooper Hurst, 74, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, in a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elzie and Mattie Cooper Sr.; husband, Thomas Hurst; sister, Barbara Jennings; brother, Elzie Cooper Jr.; stepmother, Mary Cooper, and great-grandson, Kobe Parris. Survivors include her sons, Calvin Cooper, of Chattanooga, Steven (Debra) Edwards, of Sweetwater, Tenn., Stuart (Jackie) Edwards, of Illinois, Charles Hurst, Bryan Hurst, both of Chattanooga, and Keith (Marlene) Hurst, of Sweetwater; daughters, Phyllis Davis, of Chattanooga and Priscilla (Hugh) Dixson, of Knoxville; brother, James (Jacqueline) Cooper, of Chattanooga; sister, Bettie Gross, of Atlanta; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives and friends. Visitation is at noon Friday at in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 1 p.m. Burial: Greenwood Cemetery.
