Elma Jean Smith

Elma Jean Bell Duggan Smith, 92, formerly of Chattanooga passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, at her daughters home in South Carolina. She was a member of Westview Baptist Church and she will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husbands; her parents, Claude and Ruby Bell; and five siblings. Survivors include her daughter, Janet (Claude) Green; and stepson, Bodkin (Beverly) Smith; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Rev. Scott E. Green officiating. Burial will follow at Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, in the funeral home.
