Mary Ruth Sisson

Mary Ruth Palmer "Aunt Ruthie" Sisson, 74, passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, in a local hospital. She was a former employee of Rossville Yarn and was of the Baptist faith. Her passions in life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Kirk Sisson, parents, Harvey and Macon Palmer, sister, Betty Smith; and brothers, Harvey and Joe Palmer. Survivors include her two sons, Kirk (Antonia) Sisson and Tommy (Hope) Sisson; four grandchildren, Thom Sisson, Emily (Dylan) Smith, Timothy (Faith) Sisson and Johnathon Sisson; great-grandchildren, Gavin and Gage Smith and Noah Sisson; and several nieces and nephews. Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
