Margaret Nave

Margaret Bell Swanson Nave, 96, much beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away in Dallas, Texas on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014. She was born on May 28, 1918 in Birchwood, Tenn. to Molly and Harvey Swanson. Margaret married Earl Nave in 1933 and raised her family in the Chattanooga area until 1957 when she moved to Corsicana, Texas, and to Dallas in 1987. She was a very special person who loved and protected her family without limits. Her beautiful smile and grace brought warmth and happiness to both family and many friends throughout her life. Margaret loved the Methodist church and was an active member and volunteer wherever she lived, most recently at the University Park Methodist Church of Dallas. Throughout her life, she was active in various clubs, PTAs and civic organizations. Margaret was a beautiful person both on the outside and in her heart. She was dearly loved by all her family and her memory will always enrich their lives as well as the lives of all who have known her. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, her parents and all of her brothers and sisters. She is survived by one son, Charles Nave (wife Helen); two daughters, Glenda Karahal (husband George) and Charlotte Foster (husband Tom); three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, at Forest Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be made to University Park Methodist Church of Dallas or to the charity of your choice.
