Barbara Stockdale

Barbara Ann Cotton Stockdale, 70, of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at her residence. She professed her life to Christ at an early age. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She retired in 1998 from Erlanger Medical Center after 23 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Zettie Cotton Jr.; brothers, (her twin) Bobby Cotton and Jerry Cotton. Survivors include her son, Rodney McCullough Sr., of Chattanooga; daughters, Deborah (Ardie Jr.) Menefee, of Ooltewah, LaTandra Gail (James) Ballard and Vernetta Faye Greene, both of Chattanooga; eight grandchildren, LaTisha Davenport, Nicole (Sterling) Gillum, Christopher Ballard, Derrick Crutcher Jr., Joya McCullough, Rodney McCullough Jr., KeAnna Menefee and Samuel McCullough; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy Cotton, William Cotton, and Larry (Marilyn) Cotton; sisters, Geraldine Cotton and Mary Louise Cotton, all of Chattanooga; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives; close family friends, Gerald Johnson, of Chattanooga and Ardella Smith, of Atlanta. Visitation is Monday at 10 a.m. with the funeral to follow at 11:30 a.m. in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Barbara Woods as the eulogist. Burial: Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
