Macie Smith

Macie Christine ODell Smith, 90, of Harrison, TN and formerly of Rossville, GA, passed away on Monday, Feb. 10, 2014. Mrs. Smith was born and raised in Murphy, NC. She moved to Chattanooga in the early 1970s and was a member of Grace Communion International. She worked as a Sales Clerk at Kingwood Pharmacy and Super 10. She was preceded in death by her father, Rollin McDonald; mother, Callie Palmer McDonald; first husband, Ernest ODell; and second husband, Cleve Smith. Surviving are her sons, Danny (Diane) ODell of Harrison, TN and Sammy (Julia) ODell of Amarillo, TX; Grandchildren Christy ODell (Nick) Lopez, Karen Beth ODell (Scott) Strovas, and Kenneth (Nita) Cross; and four Great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10 to 12 Noon on Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 at the funeral home with a 12 Noon Funeral Service with Pastor Dennis Wheatcroft officiating. Graveside Services will be at 3 PM on Monday at Hanging Dog Baptist Cemetery in Murphy, NC. Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist. 404 S. Moore Road.
