Marian Graves

Marian Johnson Graves, 98, died on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014. She was born in Humboldt, Tenn., to the late Leroy and Lillian Campbell Johnson. She was a longtime member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church where she was also a member of the Fellowship Class. Marian was retired from the Tennessee Department of Employment Security after 20 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband of 75 years, James Russell Graves Sr. Survivors include her son, James Russell Graves Jr.; daughter, Juliet (Julie) Graves Malloy; three grandchildren, Col. Norman Michael Worthen, Robert David Worthen and Lisa Worthen Alexander; two great-grandchildren, Diana Michelle Worthen and Julia Jill Worthen; and two nieces and one nephew. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dr. Laurence Hesser, officiating. The interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
