Frederick Jones

Frederick "Radio" Jones, 75, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, in a health care facility in South Pittsburg. He retired from Wheland Foundry after over 30 years of service. He was a member of New Enon Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jessie C. Addison; and son, Fred Jones. Survivors include his wife, Emma Cox Jones; sons, Frederick Jones Jr., of New York and Alfred Jones, of Chattanooga; daughters, Sharon Hunter, Irene Jones, Doratha Ellis, all of Chattanooga, Stephanie (Wille) Owens, of Powder Spring, Ga., and Alice Goss Morgan, of Chattanooga; stepchildren, Ryan (Lashanta) Cox, of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Keyota Cox, of Chattanooga; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Deed (Alice) Carroll, Robert (Robbie) Carroll, both of Chattanooga, and Anthony Jones, of Chicago, Ill.; sister, Maxine (Jimmie) Griffin, of Chattanooga; godsister, Nancy Card; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives and friends. The body will lie in state after 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday with family visitation from 7-9 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. There will be no service.
