Clifford Washington

Clifford W. Washington Jr., 54, of Franklin, Tenn., passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, in a Nashville hospital. He attended Tennessee State University and Columbia State Community College. He was a Navy veteran. He was a member of Fowlkes Street and Cummings Street Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Washington Sr.; brother, William Washington; mother, Esther (Felix Sr.) Wilson; and stepbrother, James Wilson. Survivors: wife, Marita Washington; children, Clay, Carter, Brent, Stacey Washington, Vandell Patton, Tiffiney Taylor; four grandchildren; sisters, Deborah (Thomas) Murdic, Elaine (Walter) Jasper, and Mary (Stanley) Trice; brothers, Felix (Geraldine) Wilson Jr., Wayne Wilson, and Richard (Tamara) Wilson; mother-in-law, Barbara C. Murdic; sister-in-law, Brandi Clay-Stockard (Kendon); cousin, Anita (John Sr.) Taylor; a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation: from 3-7 p.m. today at Cummings Street Church of Christ, 511 Cummings Street, Franklin, Tenn., and visitation Saturday at 11 a.m. with the funeral to follow at noon at Heritage Church of Christ, 1056 Lewisburg Pike with Brother Ervin E. Denkins Jr. as the eulogist. Burial: Williamson Memorial Gardens, Franklin, Tenn. Arrangements are by Taylor Funeral Home of Chattanooga Inc.
