Danny Murray

James Daniel "Danny" Murray, 66, of Kingsport, Tenn., joined the rest of his family in Heaven on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at Wexford House in Kingsport. Danny was born in Kingsport, Tenn., on March 29, 1947. He and his family made Soddy-Daisy their home in 1956, until returning to Kingsport in 1995. Danny proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his devoted mother, Mabel "Edith" Murray; his father, Richard Murray; and brothers, Franklin Murray and Johnny Murray. He is survived by his many loving caregivers and friends at Wexford House; his special caregiver and friend, Paul Bowman; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rick Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
