Doris Elliott

Doris Harrison Elliott, 96, died on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013. She was predeceased by her parents, LeRoy and Blanche Harrison, of Baltimore, Md., and her husband, Pastor Edwards E. Elliott in 1979. She graduated from the University of Maryland and taught school in Baltimore, Md., and Garden Grove, Calif. She was a charter member of Cornerstone Orthodox Presbyterian Church, Chattanooga. In her retirement she volunteered at Covenant College, Chattanooga Christian School, Prison Ministries and Bethany Christian Services. She was devoted to her family and is survived by her children, Ned Elliott, Nancy Mehne, Beth Elliott and Barbara Osborn; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held at Grace Presbyterian Church (PCA), Scenic Highway, Lookout Mountain, Ga., on Friday, Jan. 3, at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Worldwide Outreach of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church, 607 North Easton Road, Building E, Willow Grove, PA 19090-2539 Send condolences at www.CovenantFuneral.com.
