Jesse Case

Jesse E. Case, 85, formerly of Rossville, passed away Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, in Zephyrhills, Fla., following a long battle with Mesothelioma. He was preceded in death by parents, William Jesse and Lucy Stokes Case; brother, John Thomas Case; and great-grandson, Cody Rominger. Jesse served in the United States Navy and United States Merchant Marines. He was previously employed by Farmers Chemical Co. of Chattanooga, and retired from C.F. Industries in Plant City, Fla. He attended New Hope Baptist Church in Zephyrhills, Fla. Survivors include his loving wife of 65 years, Gerlda Ellis Case; son, James (Marianne) Case, of Delaware, Ohio; daughter, Linda (Tony) Saffles, of Fort Oglethorpe; grandchildren, Stephanie (Walter) Thompson, Jessica Andrieni, Wendy (Scott) Whittle, Jeffery Morris; step-grandchildren, Toni (Tracey) Rominger, Tommy (Staci) Saffles; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Caleb, and Evan Thompson, Nathan and Jackson Andrieni, Rae, Bayley and Sara Grace Whittle, Ryan, Brittney and Brett Morris,Tori Rominger, Brady Saffles; great-great-grandson, Preston Morris. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South, with Pastor Mike Lowery officiating. Viewing will be from 5 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe.
