Nelson Anderson Jr.

Nelson D. "Pedro" Anderson Jr., 56, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of North Georgia where he retired from McDowell Paving Co./ Dalton Paving Co. in 2011 as a paver operator, roller operator and truck driver with over 30 years of service. Pedro was an avid billiards player having won several championships at the Chattanooga Billiards Club. He also enjoyed playing Rook and gardening. His passions in life were his family, grandchildren, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson D. Anderson Sr. and Margaret Anderson. Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Cheryle Anderson; two daughters, Teresa Carmichael, of East Ridge and Kelly (Alan) Hacker, of Red Bank; nine brothers and sisters, Charles Anderson, Freddie Giles, Johnny Anderson, Robert Anderson, Sue Humble, Joyce Roach, Jimmy Anderson, Ron Anderson and Teresa Burks; two grandchildren, Jesse and Cherieca Blackburn; two great-grandchildren, Kameron and Marcus Blackburn; sisters-in-law, Lynda (Johnny) Davis and Jenniece (Sam) Silvers; and several nieces and nephews. Arrangements are by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
