Raymond Duke

Raymond Kenneth Duke, 88, of the Lakeview Community passed away Monday, Dec. 30, 2013, at his residence. He had lived most of his life in the North Georgia area and he was a United States Marine Veteran having served during World War II. He retired from TVA in the 1980s as an Engineer with over 25 years of service. His passions in life were his family, fishing, boating, enjoying the outdoors, working with his tools/building things and telling tall tales. He was preceded in death by his sister, Juanita Bolden; and brother, Kenneth Williams. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Mary Jo Duke; children, Cathleen (Phil) Ryan, of Rossville, Raymond Duke Jr. (Patsy), of Cleveland, Tenn., Paulette (Mike) Prather, of Rossville, Randy Duke, of Ringgold, Rusty (Kara) Duke, of Cartersville, Ga., and Laura (Richard) Gough, of Rossville; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
