Sherry Nance

Sherry Faye McNeese Nance, 57, went home to be with Jesus and meet her loved ones on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2013, after a lingering illness. She was a friend to all who knew her. She was a very loving, caring person who enjoyed flowers, but most of all, loved being a mother and grandmother and she was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her father, Grady McNeese. Survivors include her husband, Richard Nance, of Ringgold; mother, Willie Jo Leigh, of Rock Spring; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Misty and Sam Tipton, of Ringgold, Amanda and David Foss, of Maryville, Tenn., Beth Tucker of Rock Spring, Joanna and Robert Torres, of Ringgold; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Anya and Danny Dupree, of Atlanta, three brothers, Richard Barton, Andrew and Tony McNeese, all of Rock Spring; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 6 p.m. today at the funeral home and a funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ricky Studdard officiating.
