Lois McElroy RINGGOLD Dolores "Lois" McElroy, 83, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, in a local hospital. She was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and was a member of the McFarland United Methodist Church. Mrs. McElroy was retired from Bell South after 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Howard and Euzzie Byrd Cameron. Survivors are her loving husband of 67 years, Edward R. "Mac" McElroy; son, Charles Edward "Chuck" McElroy; daughters, Kay (Jim) Smith, Lucretia "Lou" McElroy and Scarlett McElroy; grandchildren, Olivia Stephens and Kaleb Bennington. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday Jan. 6, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Matt Hampton officiating. Interment in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
