Richard Phillips

Richard Randall "Randy" Phillips, 62, graduated from this life to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, surrounded by his family. He was born in Chattanooga to the late Rev. Roy C. and Dorothy Mae Parker Phillips and was a former member of Cloud Springs Church of God. Randy was a graduate of Rossville High School, class of 1971 before serving his country in the U.S. Army. He was also a former employee of Chattanooga Cable and Mobile Home City. Randy was a loving brother who would light the room with his smile and laughter. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Jessica Phillips; and brothers, James Robert Phillips and Roy Edward Phillips. Randy is survived by his children, Jonathan and Jamie; siblings, Patricia "Shirley" Morgan, of Rossville, Doyle Ray (Marty) Phillips, of Rossville; Linda (Robert) Gunther, of Ringgold; Diane (Lee) Hildreth, of Ringgold and Pam (Jody) Hall, of East Ridge; several grandchildren; special nephew, Lamar Phillips and numerous other nieces and nephews. His Graduation service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, 2014, in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Lee Hildreth and Deon Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends after Noon today and prior to the service on Monday. Arrangements by W.L.
