Robert Mitchell

LaFAYETTE Mr. Robert Lee Mitchell, 85, died Friday, Jan. 3, 2014. Mr. Mitchell was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Shaw Industries as a security guard, at the age of 79. He had twenty-two years of perfect attendance. Preceded in death by wife, Kathleen Stanley Mitchell. Survived by daughters, Pattie Davenport, of LaFayette, and Kathy (Jerry) White, Nebraska; sons, Bobby (Rhonda) Mitchell, of Chickamauga; one sister; four brothers; grandchildren, Tiffany (D.K.) Kovacevich, Mark (Amanda) Mitchell, and Chris Grant; great grandchildren, Skyler Kovacevich, and Egan Grant; several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Service from the Wallis Memorial Chapel Sunday at 4 p.m. Conducted by Rev. William Harris. Family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 3 p.m. until service time at 4 p.m. The arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral home, LaFayette.
