Fletcher Armour Jr.

Minister Fletcher Armour Jr., 75, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, in a local healthcare facility. He was an Army veteran and formerly employed by Olan Mills. He was a member of St. Elmo Missionary Baptist Church where he served as the associate minister. He was also a mason and a graduate from Covington Theological Seminary. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fletcher and Lois Armour Sr.; brother, Fred L. Armour; and sister, Connie L. Guyness. Survivors include his devoted wife, Imogene Armour; children, Fletcher Armour Douglas, Michael F. (Angia) Armour, Austin L. Armour, Terrance Stallion Sr., Darryl M. Armour, all of Chattanooga, Andrew E. Armour, of Pittsburg, Pa., Anthony R. (Shirley) Lovelady, of Chattanooga, Michael L. (Ann) Lovelady, of Mableton, Ga., and Theresa A. Lovelady, of Chattanooga; siblings, Ruby Dean Young, Jewell (Lonnie) Craig, Winifred (Robert) Bray, Perry (Mary) Armour and Jerome (Marilyn) Armour; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives and friends. Visitation is from 6-8 p.m. today at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service is at noon Thursday at St. Elmo Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Billy Church as the eulogist. Burial: Chattanooga National Cemetery.
