Antionette Jones

Antionette Jones, 51, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2014, peacefully in a local hospital surrounded by her family and friends. She was born in Chattanooga, and attended Orange Grove Schools, from where she graduated. After graduating she moved to Knoxville, and was a resident with the Sunrise Community of Tennessee Assisted Living. She worked as a custodian and had various clerical duties with Sunrise Community. She was of Baptist faith, accepting Christ at an early age and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Chattanooga. She was preceded in death by a sister, Junita Jones; stepfather, James Sanders; maternal grandparents, Millard and Annie Mae West, Chattanooga; paternal grandfather, Chesley Jones, Anniston, Ala.; uncle, Lee Andrew West, Jimmy Ingram; and cousin, Milton West Chism, all from Chattanooga. Survivors include her mother, Dorothy Sanders, of Chattanooga; father, Clifton Jones, Pontiac, Mich.; one brother, Junies Jones, five sisters, Pamela Jones Crutcher, Cliftionette Jones Powell, Tara Sanders (Jerome) Laster, Glenda Stourdimier, all of Chattanooga, and Lennis "Dee" Shadwick, of Nashville; grandmother, Ester M. Hood, Pontiac, Mich.; a good friend, Donnie Cayle; and special friend, Lynn Davis; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and beloved friends. Memorial services was held noon Wednesday Jan. 8, 2014, with Minister Linda Parton officiating, at Click Funeral Home, Middlebrook Chapel, 9020 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, TN 37923. Burial and graveside services will be at noon today Jan. 9, at Greenwood Cemetery, in Chattanooga, with Pastor Wayne L. Johnson officiating.
