Charlotte Taylor

Charlotte Taylor, 82, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014. She was born and raised in Reliance, Tenn., the daughter of the late James Arless and Anna Elaine Brown Lindner. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Glynn A. Taylor; brother, James Lindner; and a sister, Gladys Hammons. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church since 1971. She retired from Dixie Yarns after 30 years of service. She is survived by two daughters, Rhonda (Tom) Gilliland of Arlington, Texas, and Glynda(David) Sells, of LaFayette, Ga.; two sons, Michael (Kathy) Taylor of Ringgold, Ga. and James (Wendy) Taylor, of Rossville; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; one brother Hoyt Lindner, of Benton, Tenn.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, 2014, at the East Brainerd Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. David King officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at the funeral home. The family would like to express their gratitude to the 2nd Floor Staff of Memorial Hospital, Life Care of Collegedale Re-hab team, Staff of Hearth Hospice for their compassion and care. A special thanks to Dr. David Wendt and Dr. Dan Drinnon and their staff for many years of compassionate care.
