James McNabb

James "Mac" McNabb, 88, of Tiftonia, passed away Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014, at a local hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Tiftonia and he retired in 1990 from U.S. Pipe and Foundry with over 40 years of service. His passions in life were his family, hunting, reading, gardening and working. He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine McNabb; one brother; and two sisters. Survivors include seven children, Larry (June) McNabb, of Ringgold, Ga., Bobbie (Darrell) Lemaster, of Madison, Ala., Connie Williams, of Tiftonia, Dennis McNabb, of Tiftonia, Chuck McNabb, of Chatsworth, Ga., Crystal (Mark) Eller, of Soddy-Daisy, and Teresa (Mark) Frazier, of Cohutta, Ga.; three brothers, Jerry, Elmer and Keith McNabb; sister, Mary Martin; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the South Crest Chapel. Interment will follow in McNabb Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. today and from 3-8 p.m. Sunday at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
