Lawrence Shrum

Lawrence Kenneth Shrum, 73, passed away Friday, Jan. 10, 2014. He was born to the late Lawrence and Nora Shrum in Grundy County, Tenn., on Aug. 18, 1940. He was of the Christian faith, an employee at Burlington, a World War II Veteran serving in the United States Army and Shriner (Tin Lizzies) and a Free Mason with Rossville Lodge 397. Survivors include his wife, Jane Shrum, of Rossville; sons, Kenny Shrum, of Rossville, Jimmy Shrum, of Hixson; sisters, Nora Test, of Ringgold and Oma Lee Ladd, of Rossville; brothers, Ray and Willie Shrum, of Rossville; grandchildren, Danny Shrum Lankford and Alexis Shrum; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2-7 p.m. today, Sunday and Monday. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.
