Betty Pierce

Betty June Pierce, 86, passed away Friday, Jan. 10, 2014. She was a lifelong resident of Rhea County and was of the Church of God faith. She was preceded in death by parents, James Samuel and Nancy Jane Crawley Goodson; husband, James Robert Pierce; grandson, Christopher McCarter; five sisters, Osea Belle Young, Gladys Reel, Bertha Gadd, Iona Dennis, Ethel Beene. Survivors include daughter, Wanda Robbins, of Graysville, Tenn.; son, Robert Randall (Randy) Pierce and Debbie, of Graysville; grandson, Jason Pierce (Rachiel), of Graysville; step-grandchildren, Kiersten Kile, Jason Nixon, Michael, Zander, Olivia Nixon; several nieces and nephews. Services are Monday Jan. 13, at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Coulter Garrison Funeral Home with the Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald officiating. Visitation: 5-8 p.m. today. Interment: Pleasantview Cemetery.
