Earl Jackson

Earl L. Jackson, 80, of Hixson, went to join his Heavenly Father Monday, Jan. 13, 2014. He was a member of Red Bank Presbyterian Church. Earl was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired from DuPont with 30 years of service. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Jennie Jackson. Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years, Bettye O. Jackson; one daughter, Sharon Gray (James); two sisters, Betty Cornelius and Anna B. Chapman, of East Ridge; two brothers, Ralph Jackson (Margie), of Hixson and Bobby Jackson (Brenda), of Flintstone, Ga . Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Red Bank Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Everett Gossett and the Rev. Eric Dubleofficiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
