John Scott

John Scott, 91, Rossville, died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014, at a local healthcare facility. He was a lifelong resident of Rossville and member of Edgewood Baptist Church. John was a veteran of the U.S. Army having landed on the beaches of Normandy during WWII. He was active in Boyscouts, a member of the Shriners, and a Mason serving in Lodge 397. Survivors include his loving wife, Willie Mae Scott; daughters, Phyllis (Paul) Rouse, Rossville, Bobbie (Butch) Scott, Rossville; grandchildren, John (Glenda) Rouse, Scott Rouse, Tisa Lindsey, Tiaa (Greg) Payne and Tim (Kyra) Dupree; great-grandchildren, Shelby, Ariel, Jordan, Cameron, Taylor, Buddy, Tyler and Lyndsay; and two great-great-grandchildren. Services will be noon, Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. John Rouse and Rev. Brian Kurtz officiating. Interment will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
