Robert Goza

Robert Dawson Goza, 87, of Chattanooga, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014. He was a member of Hickory Valley Community Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Bertha Goza and his son, Bobby Goza. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Beverly Crawford Goza; his sons, Greg (Donna) Goza, Stuart (Mary Jane) Goza; grandchildren, Heather Goza, Chase Robert Goza (Ashley), Elizabeth Goza, Meredith Bodkin (Robbie), Marissa Shrum (Chris), Madeline Newlun (Andrew), Nathan Goza; and great-grandchildren, Blake Sutherland, Natalie Ford, Kelsey Ford, Casen Goza, Blake Miller, Jackson Kuffrey, Landon and Audrey Bodkin. Robert served in the Navy during World War II. His career included several manufacturing and service companies including: Davenport Hosiery Mill, Nation Hosiery Mill, Flexible Foam Co., and Electro-Test Inc. He prepared taxes out of his home for many years. He owned and managed rental property. He loved taking his boys out on the lake water skiing and fishing. He enjoyed Braves baseball. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, at the Valley View Chapel of the Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Duke Stone officiating. Interment will follow the service at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, at the funeral home.
