Charles Cooper Jr.

Charles T. Cooper Jr., 91 of Chattanooga, passed away Monday, Jan. 13, 2014. Charles was a register nurse at Hillsborough County Hospital. He was a member of the East Bay Church of God in Gibsonton, Fla. Charles served our country in the U.S. Army during War War II. Charles was preceded in death by his mother and father, Myrtle and Charles T. Cooper Sr.; brother, Thomas Bernard Cooper; sisters, Katherine Cooper, Irene Roark, Jo Ann Cooper, Juanita Jordan, Mearl Coots and Ruth Cates. Charles is survived by his sisters, Evelyn (Hoyt) Branham, Pearl Gentry. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at the North Chapel. Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Glenn Officiating. Burial will be at Lakewood East Cemetery.
