Tim Guinn

Timothy Lebron Guinn, of Hixson, is now walking with Jesus after his passing on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014. He was 55 years old. He was born in Chattanooga and Tim served our country in the U.S. Army where he earned the Expert Badge for M-16 and was awarded the Sharpshooter Badge with Hand Grenade Bar. Tim was an emergency medical technician and worked with the Hamilton County Park Rangers at Chester Frost. He was currently employed with Lookout Mountain Fire and Police Department where he attained the rank of sergeant with the Police Department. He attended Burks United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Guinn and Bernard and Jenna Hooper. Tim is survived by his children, Sandy (Josh) Chandler, Michael Guinn and Andy (Andi) Guinn; grandchildren, Kylan and Hudson Chandler and Annabelle Guinn; longtime companion, Santra McClure and her daughter, Emily; brother, Terry Guinn; sister, Gwen Beavers; his nephew, Jake (Hailey) Lucas and niece, Kelci Beavers. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 19, and 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the North Chapel. Service for Tim will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the North Chapel with the Rev. Jim Purser officiating. Burial will follow in National Cemetery with military honors. Derrick Young, David Combs, Spencer Daniel, Todd Floyd, Danny Wright and Jim Henegar will be serving as pallbearers.
