Carlos Brock

Carlos Lee Brock, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014. He was born in Pikeville, Tenn., to the late Lester C. and Opal Jeanette Higgenbottom Brock. Carlos has lived most of his life in North Georgia and was the Assistant Pastor of the Everlasting Covenant Church of God. He was also a lifelong dairy farmer and construction worker, who had worked for Doyle Petty Construction. Carlos was known to his family and friends as a man of God, loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, who will be missed greatly. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Marie Lemmons and brothers, L.C. Brock, James Randall Brock, and Wendell Lee Brock. Carlos is survived by his wife, of 50 years, Dora Marie Brock; children, Carlos L. Brock Jr., of Ringgold, Pamela L. Brock, of Fort Oglethorpe, Melissa A Manley, of Ringgold, Timothy W. Brock, of Ringgold, Adam W. Brock, of Ringgold, Michael G. Brock, of LaFayette, Carla R. Brock, of Nashville, and Patrick E. Brock, of LaFayette; siblings, Harold L. Brock, Clayton M. Brock, Tammy J. Brock and Sara Fay Brock Sloan; 28 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 20, in the funeral home chapel, with Bro. Carl Jackson and Pastor Wanda Sutherland officiating. Interment will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens-South. The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. today and prior to the service on Monday.
