Jimmy Anderson

James Edward Anderson III, 34, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014. He grew up in the Soddy-Daisy area. He was a graduate of Boyd Buchanan School and received his bachelors degree from Bryan College. He was of the Baptist faith and was employed at Southern Company in Rome, GA as a Project Controls Manager. Jimmy was a loving caring husband, brother, son and father to be. Jimmy operated Top Dog Fishing Tackle and was a member of Tennessee Bass-N-Buddies Bass Club. He enjoyed the outdoors, UT football and loved to fish with his dad. Jimmy brought much joy to his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Lowell Brady. Survivors include his wife, Traci Flippo Anderson; parents, James Edward Anderson Jr., and Nancy A. Anderson; sister, Kathy (Robert) Lawson; niece, Sydney Lawson; nephews, Tyler and James Lawson; his grandparents, many uncles, aunts and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22, in the Legacy Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Bill Harvey officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. and on Wednesday 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
