Olivia Patterson

Olivia Branum Patterson, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014 after lengthy illnesses. Born on June 23, 1946, the daughter of Marvin and Lou Branum, she was a member of Ashland Terrace Christian Church and a graduate of Brainerd High School. A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Olivia is survived by her three children, Charlie Patterson, Beth Patterson O'Bryant and husband Jerome, and Cate Patterson; grandchild, Christina Elizabeth O'Bryant; sister, Linda B. McGill, Athens, Tenn., Virginia Branum, Knoxville, Tenn.; brother, Jay Branum and wife Julia, Chattanooga, Tenn.; nephews, Alex (Ashley) McGill, Bremen, Ga., Jason (Rebecca) Branum, Chattanooga, Josh (Randi) Branum Clarksville, Tenn., Jack (Alicia) Branum, Richmond, Ky.; niece, Meredith (Stenson) Cole, Knoxville; great nieces and nephews, Price and Ellie McGill, Gradie and Avett Branum, Preston Branum, Patrick Redden, Cierra Edwards and close friend of the Branum family, Carolyn Mitchell; aunt, Sarah H. Wilson of Hixson, several cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lou and Marvin Branum; husband, Ben Patterson; paternal grandmother, Lucy Drake Barnett and maternal grandfather, Mose J. Higgins. Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to Noon Tuesday, Jan. 21, at Ashland Terrace Christian Church, 915 Ashland Terrace, Chattanooga, followed by a Memorial Service at Noon at the church with Reverend Brad McDowell officiating.
