Joyce Green

LaFAYETTE Joyce England Green, 69, passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2014. She is a lifetime resident of LaFayette, and a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arnie C. and Alice England; two brothers, Bobby England and Arnie "Bud" England. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, the Rev. Jack Green, of LaFayette; four sons and daughters-in-law, Howard (Peggy) Green Jr., Chickamauga, Tim (Kim) Green, Shawn (Jody) Green, both of LaFayette, and Steven (Tammy) Green, of Chattanooga; two sisters, Evelyn Wimpy, LaFayette and Gail Adams, of Chickamauga; three brothers, Dennis England, Ray England, both of LaFayette, and Steve England, Fort Oglethorpe; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services from the Wallis Memorial Chapel at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Service to be conducted by Dr. Stephen Anthony and the Rev. Mike Angel. Active pallbearers are Dennis England, Keith England, Kyle England, Randy Ballinger, Brian England and Daniel England. Honoary Pallbearers will be Mount Calvary Ladies Sunday School Class, Matt Bolden and Tim Sanders. Interment in LaFayette Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. today. The arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
