Elmer Walker

Elmer Ernest Walker, 79, of Soddy-Daisy, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, in a local hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Walker; parents, Thomas and Ester Walker; and two brothers, Quinton and Roy Walker. Survivors include his daughter, Tracy Myers (Paul) Bennett; two grandsons, Michael and Steven Myers; girlfriend, Rita Snyder; sister, Maggie (Bill) Zarycki, of Lady Lake, Fla.; brothers, Cledis Walker, of North Ridgeville, Oh., Wilburn Walker, of Pikeville, Tenn., along with many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Melvin Walker officiating. Interment will follow in East Soddy Community Cemetery.
