Jeanette Ownbey

Doris Jeanette Ownbey, 79, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014. She was the daughter of the late David S. and Carrie M. McDonald. Jeanette was a member of Ridgedale Baptist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Karen Ownbey (Edward) Pelham, of Chattanooga; and grandson, Bradley Edward Pelham, of Chattanooga. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at Greenwood Cemetery with Dr. Bill Owens officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
