Betty Johnson

Betty Jane McCormack Johnson, 88, passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at a local health care facility. She was a lifelong resident of Rossville and was a member of Rossville Church of Christ where she enjoyed helping with Summer Bible Camp as a cook. She retired in the 1980s as a LPN having worked for Dr. Brown, Koering Southern, and several hospitals in the area. Her passions in life were her church, family, traveling, cooking and her dog, "Popcorn". She was preceded in death by her husband, R.A. Johnson; parents, Thomas and Lavan McCormack; six sisters; and one brother. Survivors include her two sons, Tony Sizemore, of Ten Mile, Tenn. and Terry Sizemore, of Rossville; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the South Crest Chapel. Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
