Jean Cole

LaFAYETTE Jean Dennis Cole, 86, passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2014. Mrs. Cole is a member of LaFayette First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Steven Thomas Dennis and Gladys Cook Dennis; her husband, James "Herb" Cole Jr.; her son, H. Herb Cole III; and brother, Steve Dennis. Survived by daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Tommy Wells, of Washington, Ga.; grandchildren, James (Herb) Cole IV, Jennifer Cole Shattuck, Jessica Leigh Cole, Jean Elizabeth Rainey, Amy Dennis Broadnax and L.L. Lannae III; 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral from the LaFayette First Baptist Church at 5 p.m. Friday with Dr. Warren Moorhead officiating. Interment in LaFayette Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. today. The arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
