John Beavers

LaFAYETTE John Robert Beavers, 86, a lifetime resident of LaFayette, passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2014. He was a member of LaFayette Presbyterian Church, a 47-year resident of Shepherd Hills Nursing Home, and worked for Archer Drug Store delivering medication on his bicycle for 19 years. John enjoyed LaFayette Politics and he campaigned for various candidates, but most of all, he just loved life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira and Maude Beavers; brother, Dewey Beavers. Survivors include two Sisters, Eujenia "Jean" Clyngenpeel, of Greenwood, Ind.; Nellie Abbott, of Chickamauga; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday from 11 a.m. until the funeral service which will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ken Waddell officiating.
